Privacy & Tracking
Sign Hunters is built as a cultural road trip product. This page explains what may be collected, why affiliate links exist, and how to contact us about privacy, content or image-credit questions.
Information we may receive
When you use Sign Hunters, the site may process basic technical information such as page requests, browser/device signals, approximate request timing, clicked planning links and error information. This is used to keep the product working, understand which routes and planning actions are useful, and prevent abuse.
Road trip and guide inputs
Builder inputs such as starting area, available time, pace, interests or route choices are used to generate the guide shown to you. Sign Hunters should not be used to submit sensitive personal information. Current builder flows are designed around travel context, not personal profiles.
Affiliate and sponsored links
Some hotel, ticket, tour, flight, restaurant or car-rental links may be affiliate or sponsored links. If you book through them, Sign Hunters may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links help support the product.
Affiliate links are marked with sponsored/no-follow relationship attributes where appropriate. Editorial route logic and cultural notes should remain useful even if you do not click or book through partner links.
Click tracking
Sign Hunters may log clicks on affiliate, sponsored, route-planning and internal product links. These logs can include fields such as partner, placement, route or place label, page path and timestamp. We use this to understand which planning actions work and to improve the product.
Third-party services
Some links lead to third-party services such as booking, ticketing, tours, maps or transport providers. Once you leave Sign Hunters, those services operate under their own privacy policies, terms and booking conditions.
Images and cultural content
Sign Hunters uses a mix of internal data, public cultural information, Wikimedia-style sources, generated route context and external media services. If you see an image-credit, removal or content issue, contact us and include the page URL.
Email capture
If you choose to save a guide or request future road trip updates, Sign Hunters may store your email address, consent confirmation, page path and lightweight guide context. We do not claim that a guide has been sent to your inbox unless an email delivery provider is connected and clearly shown in the interface.
